Base Salary Plus Commission 

We are expanding our Business Development team and looking for leaders to prospect for new clients by leveraging their network and experience in field services or manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will have an illustrated record of success in lead generation and growing new business.

Our BD leaders provide us with warm introductions to potential clients with pain point points in our swim lane. You will work with our executive leadership team to develop proposals that meet the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. Additionally, our BD leaders are expected to continuously learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Starr and Associates offerings and services, financial drivers and constraints, and develop and maintain both industry and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
*Acquire new clients and new business via various channels and generate valuable contract business and contract to hire opportunities that drive revenues.
*Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities
*Be a sales hunter and identify business opportunities with prospective clients, via cold-calling, networking, events and/or other sources and develop relationships with executives within targeted markets and sectors
*Develop leads into pursuits and close pursuits
*Implement best practices and creative strategies for targeted account penetration
*Leverage your proven sales skills to engage qualified clients through adopted and proven successful techniques
*Leverage the necessary technical and industry knowledge required to establish credibility with client contacts at multiple levels to develop and deliver compelling value propositions
*Ability to strike conversations and build rapport with prospective clients to develop sales opportunities and manage client expectations throughout the sales cycle and closing process

Requirements
*Five years of proven business development experience within the consulting industry
*A profound understanding of Field Services or Manufacturing
*MBA and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or economics
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Exceptional relationship-building skills
*A demonstrated commitment to teamwork and accountability
*Record of achieving new business accounts
*Must be able to travel to visit clients

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
