We are seeking to fill a Business Process Modeler with experience in the financial services industry in Des Moines, Iowa. 
Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring business processes, resources, and information are aligned to deliver our clients’ business strategy, modeling current and future state business processes, identifying gaps and proposing gap closure recommendations. The role also is responsible for identifying and leading efforts to improve current business processes.  
Polished oral and written communication skills are a prerequisite along with robust analytical skills interpreting, mining and summarizing data to infer meaningful conclusions. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to function effectively with minimal direct supervision 
Define and manage complex projects in a large enterprise environment
•    Engage with business partners to analyze, implement, and update processes by utilizing sound process improvement models and techniques  
•    Conduct business process modeling across product, segment & channel silos  
•    Understand the existing process architecture landscape for the organization  
•    Develop functional decomposition models based on LOB process documentation and/or through facilitating work sessions  
•    Liaison with subject matter experts and business process owners to understand and document their business processes  
•    Define, redefine or translates business documentation into business process models  
•    Drive business awareness of our common enterprise operational and process excellence methods, techniques, tools, etc. 
•    Work with process architects to ensure process definition activities are delivered 
•    Identify relationships with enterprise objects such as risk, controls, applications within the processes and document them within BPM software 
•    Consult business and technology partners regarding process documentation and improvement  
•    Train and coach clients and project participants on process modeling standards and best practices  
•    Support roll out of enterprise process modeling standards  
•    Support maintenance of enterprise process modeling standards and best practices

•    2 years of experience in business process re-engineering, requirements definition, and workflow analysis, reviews, analyzes and evaluates stakeholder needs 
•    2 years of experience supporting business functions such as accounting, lending, securities trading, or equivalent preferably improving processes 
•    Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, or engineering 
•    Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and projects

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
