We are seeking to fill a contract to hire Data Architect position in the metropolitan Atlanta, GA area. The position requires a combination of managerial, strategic thinking and leadership experience focusing on planning, design, developing , implementing and managing a clients data structure storage.  Demonstration of polished oral and written communication skills in engaging colleagues, clients and potential clients is essential.
Demonstrate specific skills around data quality, data modeling, ETL tools, data preparation applications, big data solutions, data governance and data cleansing. Candidate will need to have senior experience with different data storage solutions, such as RDBMS, or NO SQL infrastructures. The candidate will also be responsible for designing and building data storage solutions using conventional business analytic data preparation and management solutions, such as Alteryx, Qlickview, Paxata and Tableau.

• Setting the strategic direction of the client data management strategy
• Develop and maintain all Data Management aspects of a Business Intelligence engagement
• Interpret business requirements and manage the development of Business Intelligence engagements

• Expert of Data Integration, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, Data Governance, Data Integrity, Data Management, Master Data Management, Big Data and Data Quality
 
Skills
• Deep understanding of technology based businesses processes, including related business models, technical components, modern software development processes, ie, Agile Scrum, etc..
• Proficient with one or more data preparation/visualization tools, such as, Alteryx, Qlikview, Paxata, Tableau.
• Experience structuring and analyzing large quantities of data and information for statistical and analytical modeling
• Deep understanding of Business Intelligence Best Practices, Architectures, Tools, Methodologies, and Software
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to partner with client stakeholders from various parts of an organization
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work streams in a fast-paced environment
• Deep understanding of ETL Tools, Best Practice Processes
• Deep understanding of Data Storage Solutions (Big Data, RDBMS, NoSQL)
• Deep understanding of a couple Database Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, My Sql, Postgress, etc)
• Excellent SQL skills
• Skilled in one scripting language, such as, Ruby, Javascript, Python, VBScript, Shell Script
• Deep understanding of Data Governance, Data Integrity, Master Data Management, Data Quality Design, Develop, and Deployment Best Practices
• Waterfale or Agile Development Lifecycle Methodologies
• Good communication and leadership skills

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
