We are currently seeking to fill a Business Development Executive position in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. The position requires 15 - 20 years of prior experience in management consulting, consulting sales, business development and consulting account management. The position reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and has deep roots in the Atlanta business community. The candidate must exhibit polished oral and written communication skills when engaging colleagues, clients and potential clients. Strong strategic skills are imperative as the candidate would be expected to help determine how to effectively position the firm for further growth. There may be significant travel required and daily work activities may be managed within a virtual environment supported by the ability to telecommute or within one of our local office locations.
Identifying new sales leads
Pitching products and/or services
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
Developing quotes and proposals
Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
Developing sales goals and ensuring they are met
Training personnel 
Socialization to keep healthy relationships with clients 
Write reports and provide feedback to upper management about what is and is not working.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
