We are currently seeking to fill an Industrial Engineering Consultant position in the Atlanta, GA area. The position requires 2 – 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should be able to manage cross-functional teams and lead efforts that require technical expertise and strong leadership.  Solid proficiency in the use of industrial engineering tools and analysis methodologies is a must. The candidate must exhibit polished oral and written communication skills when engaging colleagues, clients, and potential clients. Strong analytical skills are a must, as collecting, interpreting, mining and summarizing data to infer meaningful conclusions is a huge part of the job function. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to function effectively with minimal direct supervision. There may be up to 75% travel required periodically. Daily work activities are managed within a virtual environment supported by the ability to telecommute. Recommending methods to eliminate wastefulness in operations and services. Devising efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to generate a product or provide a service.

*Reviewing operation schedules, engineering specifications, and process flow diagrams to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services
* Determining how to produce products or deliver services with maximum efficiency
* Developing management control systems to make financial planning and cost analysis more efficient
* Enacting quality assurance procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
* Designing control systems to coordinate activities and production planning in order to ensure that products meet quality standards
* Conferring with clients about product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
Engage in activities that are useful to a variety of businesses; controlling cost and maximizing efficiencies. Help businesses minimize operational costs and improve quality empowering businesses to keep their customers satisfied. OIptimal design, implementation, integration, operation,
improvement and management of high-level systems consisting of  chemical, electrical, electronic, mechanical or civil components.

Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt Minimum), Strong Analytical Ability, MS Access, MS Excel, Oracle, Statistical analysis tools (Minitab, SAS, SPSS, ect…), Simulation Tools (ARENA, Simul8, etc…), AutoCAD, Intermediate Auto Cad, Strong oral and written presentation skills, and Experience telecommuting.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
